- OJS upgrade is free twice a year, but if there is a critical bug and it needs to be updated then we can process the upgrade more than twice without being charged
- For OJS maintenance fix we need Cpanel / Linux server Administration Authentication access
- For Automatic daily backup it can only be done on the VPS server, at this time we cannot do this process on the Cpanel server.
- For building of the OJS Plugin, If the hour allocation for the the OJS Support not enough is not sufficient then the additional cost will be charged
- If the hour allocation is not sufficient then the additional cost will be charged.
- Hourly calculation will use the clockify app. https://clockify.me/apps
- We will separate for urgent cases and minor bug fixes
- For urgent bug fixes we will make fixing immediately after evaluating and discussing with the team.
- For minor bug fixes, we will first report this case to the Official PKP via github issue, and we will wait for a response for 1x24 hours, if there is no response then we will fix it independently.
- Improvements to the OJS software will be carried out by making a request commit to the official OJS repository. If PKP does not approve our push code request, we will record the change log in the document and forking the repository.
- Upgrading OJS will be done in separated staging server. The staging server may provided by both party.
- We are committed not to publish authentication and any data information of our client.
- Openjournaltheme is prohibited from disclosing confidential data assets in clients such as server configurations, security vulnerabilities, databases, and data related to OJS client information.
- We are only allowed to reveal the name of the client and including the institutions that have worked with us.

In our service, 1 domain means using the same 1 OJS installation with a centralized database. This setup requires us to maintain the entire system as a whole while also addressing issues that arise in each journal within that domain. Although the same installation is used, each journal has its own workflow, settings, and content that must be managed separately. Our maintenance work covers both the centralized database and the unique needs of each journal to ensure the system remains stable and secure for everyone. If a different domain is used, it means the databases we handle are also different and more varied, which requires additional work and results in a different service fee.
What is OJS maintenance and fixing bugs ?
You will get this service when your OJS has problems related to the OJS software or your OJS is not working properly. Our OJS development team will immediately check and fix problems that occur in your journal.
What is the estimated support time given?
We provide support from Monday-Saturday (08am-05pm GMT+8 Singapore Timezone). However, if there is an urgent matter such as the site is down or failed to submit an article, we will check as soon as possible at the ideal time.
What is applying to the Security patch ?
We will update the security patch when PKP officially announces that there is a security issue in the current OJS software. If there is a security bug on the server, our team will also handle it.
