Metadata is an explanation of structured information that makes descriptions, explanations, and information that can be reused, managed or used in more detail about the data. Examples of metadata we often encounter in our daily life, especially in journals for a page that has many types of composing elements. Various fields and metadata are very important because they are used to continuously process and recognize several types of information and are able to assist a system process in tracking data, searching for data and sorting data in an orderly manner. There are several types of metadata that can be identified, such as administrative, descriptive and structural. It is hoped that we will be able to recognize what metadata is further, not only information that we often encounter without identifying the information.
Article metadata in OJS is data related to journal articles. The data includes the author’s name, email, article title, abstract, list of references and others. The metadata will be entered and grouped together at the time of uploading the article to the system.
Metadata provides the following functions: #

5. Provide location information
Here are some steps to edit the metadata of journal articles that have been published on OJS: #
First login to OJS as journal editor. On the Editor Home Page, select Issue and click Back Issue
Then select the issue of the journal for which the metadata of the journal article will be edited. For example, the article whose metadata will be edited is published in the May 2022 edition, then click issue Vol 8, No 2 (2022) as shown in the picture
Next, select the article you want to edit the metadata
Click Edit Metadata for the journal article that we selected
Then please Edit the Metadata of the desired journal article
Next Save Metadata at the end of the form
